Business lunch is a specific discipline. It is an opportunity to meet a business partner or client in a pleasant and quiet environment, ideally over a several courses and maybe even with a glass of good wine.

In such cases, we choose restaurants that offer a quiet place for conversation, quality service and delicious food. Therefore we have selected a few places in the center of Prague that are worth visiting, even if you don't have a business meeting scheduled.

Lunch with a view

A great lunch with a view is always a good plan. If you settle in Mlýnec, ideally on the summer terrace, you will witness one of the most unique views of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. Not only will you enjoy the view of these iconic buildings, but also the view of the dishes from the kitchen of Ládi Vaníček. The seasonal menu varies every week and you may sample, for example, asparagus soup with truffle or gratined halibut.

Just a little further down the river, a similar view opens up from the other side, the restaurant and terrace of CottoCrudo at the Four Seasons Hotel. You will be greeted with Italian classics with a modern twist, fresh fish or inventive vegetarian dishes.

Privacy above all

Privacy above all

If you are one of those who are specificly seeking peace and privacy, you may intentionally wander through the streets of the Old Town to the V Zátiší restaurant. Their lunch menu is traditionally modern, based on traditional recipes, that chef Marek Šáda transforms into modern gastronomy. You definitely haven't eaten “žemlovka” in his presentation.

On the same side of the river, you may also head to Trezor Špork in the Červený jelen restaurant, newly opened for lunch from Tuesday to Friday. Compared to the more beer-oriented culture of the Red Deer, Trezor that is under the management of Marek Fichtner is a showcase of fine dining. You may put together a menu of modern Czech dishes based on what you will be craving, and you may complement it with the suggested wines right away.

If you prefer the other side of Vltava, move to the hotel The Augustine and to the restaurant of the same name hidden behind the walls of the monastery. Thanks to this architectural concept, the restaurant has maintained a beautiful garden, where you may have a peaceful lunch without being disturbed. And if you feel like climbing up the hill (or take the tram there), head to Nový Svět and to the restaurant Vinobona. In this tiny house, you will find an equally small and cozy restaurant with just a few places to sit there, where you feel like at home, just with food that you probably wouldn't cook at home.

More relaxed mood

Maybe for your business lunch you are looking for places with a more relaxed atmosphere, while still offering great food and service. One option is the La Gare restaurant focused on French gastronomy, which is just a short distance from Náměstí Republiky. However, if you don't mind traveling a little outside the city center, head to The Eatery in Holešovice. The modern Czech dishes by Chef Pavel Býček's will impress you, as well as the wide selection of wines, they import themselves.
